Columbus day with Tim and Moby
Christopher Columbus was a business man who sponsored a lot of trades and made a pretty good living. But then, he wanted to get richer by finding a closer trading route to Asia. Columbus's mistake was that he thought the earth was too small. He thought that Spain and Japan was less than 4,000 km apart. But the truth was more than 19,000 km apart.Anyway, the queen and king of Spain sponsored his journey.once he landed at the Caribbean Sea, he encountered a native American tribe called the Arawak. Though Columbus refer them as Indians since he is sure he landed in India. The Arawak was kind to Columbus, But Columbus did not return their kindness.Many was sold as slaves. Columbus forced the Arawak to bring him gold, is they did not bring enough, death. Columbus was captured and brought back to Spain and faced criminal charges. But the king and queen let him go and sponsored his next trip. People say what Columbus did was cruel. But his accomplishments totally changed the course of history!! So is a bit complicated. But that does not mean that Columbus,Ohio is the coolest city ever!You get to ride Komodo dragons!!!
