Digital Animation with Tim&Moby
Digital animation is what people use to make the Brainpop movies. There are three kinds of animations: 2D and 3D. 2D and 3D each mean 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional. Brainpop uses good old 2D. They use a system called Flash. People making movies always have a window on their computer called stage. You can work on flash on a stage. To work the stage people use tweening. They make a start point and an end point and puts on still images called keyframes. Then the computer decides how the images should move. Lastly people upload the movie into the all-powerful Brainpop server. Making a movie can be complicated.
